I only have watched playthoughs and lore youtube videos. I did give my friend 10 dollars to play it with me, since he has a ps5. I will keep you guys updated on how the play goes. Update: June 22, 2025, I am only less than 6 percent completion. Easy mode is not as easy as I pressumed it would be hahaha. Here is a link of my gameplay- but mostly opinions, I don't have any videos of my fighting enemies because I am so focused (i know it's only on easy mode which is quite embarracing on my end) I forget to record. Story Rating:
As irritating as my lack of gaming skills can be, the worldbuilding is stunning! Each stage representing an aspect of her life was quite clever, and even the little details like what broken items were around taught me how important Alice's past meant to her, how hard she hung on to her memories depite many others forcing her to repress them for so long. Her world's outlandish interpretaion of the real world (IMO) represents her optimissim in gaining control over her mind. Maybe I could view it as using innocence and colorful imagination, despite the disgusting world she was forced to deal with, not as weakness, but the sole reason behind her survival.
Scare Rating:
Not really horror in my opinion.
Not: I played this in easy mode. Sometimes the game would freeze, and I would get very upset. But it felt satisfying getting the hang of it after searching up strategies on how to eliminate enemies.
