According to the Yoututbe channel "Racoon City Gun Club", The gun was inspired by a real Russian assault revolver "Rs-12". This magnum of a handgun was developed surprising in modern times, the 2000s, for the Russian special forces. There is also an attachable silencer and folding stock. the "rsh-12" is not in any public market. No research has been done to see if they are availible in black ones either. Mechanics

What's quite distinct about this revolver is that the barrel is at the bottom chamber. The designed this powerful handgun this way so that the recoil doesn't rotate the gun upward after shooting the trigger. The force goes "directly to the palm of the hand."It weighs around five pounds unloaded. Its' shape is quite boxy, at least comparing it to the well-known rounder, thinner, cowboy styled revolvers. I think they chose this to appeal to the modern setting.
