Danganronpa: The First

(3/10) : More unsettling than "scary"; lots of gore and unexpected moments- but no monsters or jumpscares. Ok there's a few, but not of monsters, just unexpected people walking up to you. I only qualify this as part of the scary rubric because the deaths traumatized me when I was in middle school. So gross, and the characters that i developed a relationship with just dies out so suddenly. However,I did get a nightmare from this show one night.

Imma be real, some of the characters were irraz as hell. Some of their actions were so unrealistic and a little too eccentric, it left me baffled (negative) as to why they did what they did. Or why they talk they way they do. Like Celeste, I love your outfit, but you are not tough; please get that through your head. However, I guess the part where they were extreme caricatures, shown in their cosplay like attire could mean that I am not suppose to see them as people who made ordinary choices. I guess I prefer characters that I can resonate myself with.
